in 10 minutes, it will officially be the end of the Holiday Season.
Feeling: Nostalgic
Hope everyone took in the happiness, joy and togetherness of the season, as it only comes once a year..
This year was definitely better than last year's, especially since Mom and Dad were HERE for Christmas. But it actually hit me this year that Lola is no longer with us... I always prided myself on being able to say that I had all 4 grandparents,
but it really hit me, this year, at Midnight Mass. Listening to all the Christmas carols, thinking of last year (when she passed) and this year, when we go, I'll see with my own eyes that she is not here. All I know is that she is in a better place.
As for everything else, this season was full of family, food and good times. Only if the world stopped more often to allow
us to have this kind of quality time with the family. With the ending of one season, but the beginning of a new year, there is lots of hope for what the new year will bring and the surprises ahead.
Now, we can only look back on the past, live in the present and plan for the future. All in good time.
