New Year Detox

Update: Bluberry Fruz is now pending diagnosis for her lack of thermal conduction.
^ as for myself, I am in better spirits. The bitter bite of winter has let it's grip loose a bit, allowing the weather to be somewhat tolerable. (I am so NOT a winter-person) It's nice and sunny outside and I think that's helping =)
Here I am, sitting at the computer, playing fetch with Rocky. This dog has enough energy for 3! I think since I brought my talula parka, I'll take him for a nice (but quick) winter stroll.
----
I will continue once I hear more about Bluberry Fruz.
WOOT WOOT!! BLU-E-BERRY is no longer fruz! She's nice and toasty, as am I!! Minimal cost for Maximum Benefit!

New Year Detox! c/o Gillian Keith

Please keep note that this was derived from a UK TV Special as aired on the W Network, thus there are variations in expression. =)

  1. fizzy drinks aka pop!

  2. added salt eg. to eggs, fries, salad

  3. take-out --no explanation needed.

  4. added sugar eg. to tea, coffee, baked goods

  5. *the white stuff eg. white breads...

  6. chocolate

  7. *crisps aka chips, anything fried & chip-like

  8. *pub snacks aka pork rinds

  9. processed meats eg. hot dogs, cold cuts, sausages

  10. caffeine as found in coffee, energy drinks

  11. alcohol, in the form of excessive/binge drinking. A drink or two is within the daily limit

  12. cigarettes

Taking note of my New Year's resolution, this show could not have come at a more opportune time. To sum up the points of the show, taking in the listed items does the following to your body

  • poisons your body and blood

  • excess sugar is converted to fat

  • will cause long-term damaging effects leading to such things as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes

  • may cause fatigue, water retention, digestive problems, increased flatulence, bloatedness

Overall, this has given me further ground and stabilized my decision to eat healthier for the new year. I posted this to hopefully give you an idea of your present diet. If you can apply yourself to 6 or more of the above-listed items, then it is time to make a change. Use 2008 as a brand-new, healthy start to living!
I am!
