The Cheating Curve

What constitutes cheating?? Where do you draw the line?
  1. physical (obviously)
  2. emotional
Emotional cheating is where things can become a grey (gray sp?) area for some people; but for me, it's still in the category, hence is labelled as Cheating.

In relationships, you can have an emotional disconnect from the relationship, and find solace in another person. Be it sexual in nature or not, investing emotions outside of the relationship that belong IN the relationship is a big no-no.

Not only are you being dishonest with your partner, but you are lying to yourself and denying the relationship the communication that needs to happen to fix-repair-work on the problem at hand.

Sex-ting is an example. Thank you, Tiger Woods, for being Exhibit A.
  • technology has increased avenues for people to connect/communicate with each other, but unfortunately, that gives people a way to keep their affairs at arms length from detection, but just within reach to continue and prosper.
  • Facebook is a prime example of how Exes can play pop-goes-the-weasel and re-enter your life, at the click of a mouse.
To cheat is to cheat yourself short, of anything good.

Fin.
