My Baby Blue (blueberry aka azur-azur) gave me a hell--of-a scare with the prospect of letting her go. She's bleeding out- and I was often told it's the Head Gasket. It's the Head Gasket...I had nightmares about it all and with the help of Dr. Ferrara, she's diagnosed.

1. Valve cover gasket
2. Cam Shaft Seal

These are the reasons she's bleeding out- but thank my lucky stars that I have a BB Fairy... it's not as bad as I thought.

Advised that since they're gonna be working on her heart, might as well change the water pump and timing belt :)

After that, she's good to go and good to stay!!

YAY...XOX bebz for the helping hand.
Soon Blueberry won't be so Black and Blue.

UPDATE: Gasket Seal was only a $200 repair.
The rest is therefore unecessary since the engine doesn't need
to be opened up!

I, Jordan Miller, Owner & Webmaster of BreatheHeavy.com and BritneyRes.com, want to thank you with all my heart for the loyalty and support you’ve shown over the last 5 years BreatheHeavy has been open.

We are all here for one purpose: to support the icon of our generation, Britney Spears, and to continuously stick by her through the good and bad.

I have been battling the conservatorship Britney is currently placed under for months now. When I did not conform to the requests and demands Britney’s management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they in turn became angry and malicious, launching, what I feel is an unjust attack, against me and my website.

As a result, I received a legal notice from Jamie Spears’ lawyers pressuring me to close BreatheHeavy.com by 3:00 p.m. PST today, March 27, 2009, or face an injunction, claiming they will pursue legal action by Jamie Spears, who, as a conservator, is legally allowed to act as Britney and sue using her money and lawyers.

“Britney doesn’t control her affairs,” said Brad Rose, the lawyer representing Britney in this case in a telephone conversation.

“You are an uber fan who’s gone a little too far.”

The legal notice states BreatheHeavy is not in compliance of Copyright Infringement laws, violating Britney’s rights of publicity and privacy: "Ms. Spears will pursue damages and injunctive relief in connection with the blatant violation of her rights of publicity and privacy." (as per her father's conservatorship)

The real issue, in my opinion, is hidden behind these Copyright Infringement claims, rather management, particularly her father / conservator, Jamie Spears, who makes $18,000 a month off his daughter, is desperately trying to hide the truth about Britney’s imprisonment, and shut anyone up who disagrees with their conniving and selfish exploitation of an innocent mother of 2 pushed back into the lime-light just several months after a hospitalization.

Another issue the lawyers claim aside from “Copyright Infringement,” is the use Britney’s trademarked name and image, stating I am not allowed to use her name or picture except for editorial and hard news purposes only.

Additionally, the Google and TicketMaster ads placed around the website are a “major issue,” stating I am using Britney’s name and image for financial gain without her consent.

BreatheHeavy.com is a non-profitable website, meaning I, nor anyone, makes a PROFIT off the website. The ads used help the website remain self-sustainable, and if there is a profit made, the funds, in return, are used to purchase magazine scans and other materials needed for the website.

Am I crazy and naive for running a major website that leaves me in debt each month? Possibly, but BreatheHeavy is my passion, a creative outlet that has allowed me to grow as an individual.

Britney Spears is my inspiration; I can’t put a price on that.

Though I made very clear to the attorneys that BreatheHeavy is a non-profitable website, it is of no concern of theirs.

This entire site thrives because of YOU, the fans, who support Britney by buying tickets to her show, merchandise and music. Sadly, your hard-earned money that goes to supporting your favorite celebrity, is now money being used to potentially sue me, a major fan and supporter of Britney Spears, and hide fans from knowing the TRUTH.

This conservatorship Britney is placed under, which controls every aspect of her life, is now clenching the future of her biggest Fansite.

I’m prepared to fight, but I need to know that you guys are willing to fight with me.

I desperately need your help.

BreatheHeavy.com costs a minimum of $350.00 a month to run. Because I am not allowed to use ads to run the website any longer, as I am “using Britney Spears’s image for financial profit,” I am asking readers to donate money until the situation has been handled.

Shining in Sequins

I love love love sequins-- for some reason they bring me back to my childhood and this very specific outfit, adorned with sequins here-and-there, that make me love them to this day.

Sequins made a re-entry to fashion consciousness last year, and this year, they've come back full force. 2nd year in a row wearing sequins for my birthday- and I'm absolutely loving it! (I have this full-sequined shirt in black also ;)

Post Script to my Greek Chic post on the Gladiator shoe trend, the Carrie Bradshaw Dior as seen in the S&TC movie has been loving duplicated by Steve Madden (my shoe-guy-- I've loved him since my teeny-bopper days!)

I've been eyeing this gladiator at Costa Blanca X (pre-S.Madden Store opening at FVmall) and is currently on sale at $96. I'm biting my nails waiting for it to go down, cause I know the infrequency that i will wear these shoes, as they are like Manolo Mary-Janes to me, a fashion shoe myth....the closest to Dior without the hefty price tag!

Shoes and bags are my guilty pleasures....my vices, for real.

Pretty In....Plaid

While wearing the shirt pictured above, a pair of dark blue jeans, with straightened hair, the first thing my mom says to me is," I dressed like that in the 70s! You're taking all of our styles!"....and went on to state that she, had she had known, would have,"kept all of her clothing" cause it's the IN thing now.. :) Gotta love my Mama.

I want Tickets!

Ever since Britney's comeback, my thoughts-become-things mantra was worked overtime as I always said," I WANT TICKETS!".....but maybe I should have been more specific, as I have gotten a record (throughout my almost 6 years of driving) 4 tickets; details below:

1. Parking ticket
2. Failure to submit licence *it was the week after my bday weekend and my licence was in my clubbing purse)
3. "Speeding" 10 over- like what the hell is 10 over!
4. Obstruction of Licence Plate *my decorative chrome plate frame. Grrr..

^ The latter 3 were by 1 cop, and he was amused by the fact that I could recite my licence number, therefore invited me to bring all 3 to court to have them 'settled'.

I ventured to the 'DMV' as they call it in the states to book a court date for the tickets... an amusing experience, hearing 2 (separate) fobby drivers explain their tickets to complete strangers...

"I was going 95 in a 60, but I was going down a hill...so it's not fair!"

"I'm going to the Mayor to fight my ticket, I know I was not speeding. He had his gun, but it was pointed the other way. They make us go to court to force us to plead guilty!"

Daydreaming

Lately I've been entertaining myself (& Frank) with the prospect of houses....given the current market and amazing interest rates, I thought It'd make for a good sell. Daydreaming pisces aside, the logical Libr-ian stopped me in my tracks.... therefore I know what I need to do to realistically get to that point.

Our 5 year timeline is peanuts when you disect it, and this dream is much closer to a reality than most would first suspect.

Thoughts become things.

Unlike most of my female counterparts, I was not one of them who attended Britney's 2-Day Circus here in Toronto at the ACC.

Quite a blessing in disguise, if I did infact buy those tickets, I would have had to sell them- otherwise I would have missed this job op.

Anyway, as I digress, I consider myself one of the true Britney supporters, and even claimed so on my FB profile when I used to have the badge-application littering my page with various images/sayings reflective of me.

I hear mixed reviews of her concert, and as I knew fore-hand, she is not what she was during her Onyx Hotel Tour.... but regardless, she is on the right path past her real-life circus of the past year and a half or so.

Therapy Dog

Rocky just proved to me that he is my personal therapy dog. After having my blood pressure raised sky-high at 2AM thanks to his Papa, I am now feeling much better, for having him with me.

Due to working the evening shift 4-11 at the gym, I can't help but address the irony of the fact that I have eaten McDonalds more this past week than ever before.

Note to Self

The one rant I have about school is my prof's inability to provide us with a complete syllabus with readings.... so as I do not have the means to advance on readings, I have gone the opposite route and have completely ignored my readings to this point.

Err...I guess I know where all my free time will be spent..

Procrastinating is like kicking yourself in the ass.

Fitness Fodder

Having worked my first week at Pure Fitness I can't help but feel extremely inadequate in the fitness department. As most people reassure me with the often-heard "you don't need to go to the gym" remark, I counter that, with my beginning of the month venture with Joy to blue mountain.

I am terribly unfit, and the days of long-distance sprinting are long-gone.

Seeing people with such discipline are motivating me to move... maybe I'll take the membership offer to my advantage and get myself in tip-top shape for the summer..

To Beret or Not Beret

but Frank has consistently made comments about my 'toupee'- as he mistakenly calls it! *see pic below.

As the weather is getting warmer, I'm finding it hard to part with my beret, but am opting for the beanie for its more compact size haha.

Taking Inventory

As of late I have been taking inventory of my life and seeing where I need to be versus where I am. As The Secret put it, your current state is the result of who-you-were, so it's really never too late to get things on track.

As my snowboarding instructor put it,"have the right Rad-ittude!"

I know what I gotta do, and I just gotta do it- whatever it takes.

The Real Me

I've decided to add another topic to my blog, using the above pictured episode, entitled, "The Real Me" where I will tag posts related to Me and My Fashion Fix.

A Fashionista at heart, my closet is filled with commercial vs. designer brands, mainly because true fashion doesn't have a price.... couture does. I've always possessed a keen eye for fashion and have developed my own wardrobe out of my own personal tastes; not what the runways/magazines dictate for the season.

Although, don't get me wrong, I grab cues here and there, but essentially, my style, is The Real Me.

So here, you will find my thoughts and ramblings on fashion trends, my likes, dislikes, make up raves and various things of the sort...all to add that fashion flare that this blog needs. Especially, have taken my blog's name IHO Sex and the City, not having added this section sooner is considered my Blogging Fashion Faux Pas.

Greek Chic

I have a self-confessed foot fetish, more-so for shoes. One time I had a quiz where my friends were asked typical, "How well do you know me" type questions. One question in particular was regarding my shopping weakness, and the obvious tie-up was between purses (bags) and shoes. My initial answer at the time was shoes, but my best friend argued otherwise. I can see where the hang up came, as I have a more extensive bag collection versus shoes.

Reason being, I am WAY MORE PARTICULAR *picky* when it comes to shoes. Unlike other girls, whom you can catch staring at themselves in any reflection, I stare at my feet. Shoes are a fashion accesory for me that is way more versatile than a bag.

To me, if I decide to buy AND keep a pair of shoes, it has made the equivalent of entrance to the VIP section of my closet.

Prior to Sex and the City, I started secretly liking the gladiator trend, and saw it coming. I have a psychic eye to fashion waves, such as the sequins trend that has now boomed, whereas last year, I wore a sequined embellished shirt for my birthday.

Anyway, as I digress, the above pic with Carrie Bradshaw is a pair of Dior's, COMPLETELY out of my price range, but are the epitomy of the Gladiator trend that I love. Done right, Greek Chic is VIP anyday!

To those who have yet to embrace it, slowly work your way to really strappy sandals, and creep onto the Gladiator arena & take centre stage.

Gladiator Glam is a trend, not a fad and is not going away anytime soon!!

Jon & Kate Plus 8, Minus 1 Fan

I have been a BIG Fan of the Gosselins, more namely, Jon & Kate Plus 8. TLC's leading series was founded off of high ratings from viewers such as myself, and soon-afterwards, my sister. Many of us fell in love with the family, their trials & tribulations, and most of all, the kids.

I have come to see the light as many call it, and have taken off my rose-coloured glasses to see that now, the show is not about the kids at all, it's about money, greed, gluttony, and pretty much smoke and mirrors.

As the family moved into the $1.3M dollar mansion and taken in 2 German shepherd pups (in direct contradiction to Kate's neat-freak neurosis) I have a completely different vibe from the show and it has lost the real-ness that attracted fans in the first place.

Guiltfully as I watch the more recent episodes, I can't help but take my piece of blame/responsibility for these kids being on center-stage ALL THE TIME.

My online investigation to my vibe came about after reading the following article on PH called, "Trouble in Paradise..."

As I searched for articles to falsify this claim, I stumbled upon website upon website about the Gosselins that were extremely ANTI- JK8.

To my surprise I found the following dated article & subsequent blog, explaining Aunt Jodi's seemingly sudden disappearance from the show.

Beyond saddened, I am finding myself joining those Anti JK8 followers and have taken myself off of their FB Group. I am continuously reading these blogs, and post-JK8 withdrawal, will find the courage to comment; after feeling so responsible for the circus-show we have locked these kids into.

Read and form an opinion for yourself. It will become self evident if it has not already.
All I can really do now is pray for the kids and that they will not suffer heavily from the consequences of the actions/decisions their parents have made.

JK8 minus 1 Fan.

Time Blocks

Admittedly, after having so much time minus a school and work schedule, I am realizing that I need to get back on track living life in blocks of time.

Yay for getting a new job, and one that has multiple benefits -resolution-wise-. A gym membership just adds to that block-time method. A healthy well-being is something I also need to give some attention to.

Here's an example of a mixed-list of To-Do's (daily/weekly)

1. Readings
2. Lecture notes
3. Purging of notes for review
4. Synching with textbook for open-book exams
5. B.Mod presentation work
6. Doing the above around 4-11pm work hours
   
7. Work- newbie training in-session
8. Make use of that gym membership
9. Car diagnostic, repair, etc.
10. Getting Rocky on new schedule (feedings/outings)
11. Eat, live, breathe... hahaha
    

With this educational psych course, I need to give it my all and make my way towards that degree.... I need to cut the rock.

Excited, happy and looking forward to Magic 2-3, let's see what the year will bring me.

I'm SO over socks!

One thing most people learn about me off-bat is that I have a love-hate relationship with socks. My idea for this post comes from the change of seasons, from winter to spring. The idea of pulling out my flats/sandals and not needing to wear socks is making me a giddy little school girl!

Therefore, to detail this love-hate relationship, read below:

Love

1. I use 'em to help ease my jeans into long boots
2. The super soft socks feel nice on my feet
3. A must for winter boots
4. They give me comfort when going to someone else's house *when I'm in non-sock shoes (I often carry a pair in my purse/truck)

Hate

1. They are a nuisance to my feet when I'm lounging and are a must-take-off
2. My always-hot-pink polished toes are covered, away from adoring eyes haha
3. Sock-weather often means bad-weather
4. Socks + Sandals *my fave kind of shoes* are a fashion faux-pas

1. Bo's Premonitions are reminiscent of Passions whimsical-ness.
2. I'm tired of revolving door that is the DOOL dating scene- relatives incl. for example, Max & Stephanie + Max & Chelsea
3. I'm really looking forward to Nicole's eventual downfall
4. I'm ecstatic about Passions' Alums 'Luis' & 'Ethan' characters in Salem
5. I'm beginning to really feel sorry for Lucas...cupid keeps shooting him empty rounds :(
6. I am gung-ho for Raef & Sami vs. EJ & Sami
7. I like how EJ is getting jealous--- serves him right for going with Nicole Walk-over-'em
   
8. It's weird not to see John and Marlena after all these years...
9. The Baby-switcheroo is an old, cliche storyline.
10. Daniel is now Dr.Creepo to me. He hits on and makes out with everyone- and seems to attach himself like a leech to every which person.
11. I knew they would use Chloe's appearance as a storyline (Lady Lust)

Snow Bunny

So, my persistent, and might I add, quite Insistent, older sister FINALLY got me to go snowboarding with her at Blue Mountain.

She paid for classes for me to learn how to board properly and get the basics, to further prevent a nasty fall-- which I am prone to.

Admittedly, I LOVED IT! Despite being sore, as I am for the past day and a half, like my Snow School Guide told me," No Pain, No Gain." He had the right "RADittude" and got me through the stages in no time.

Ironically, in the beginning I fell very little, with the exception of one major wipe out, that caused him to say,"Whoa, man, are you okay?!" LOL

Joy introduced me to the following things:

1. The various snowboarding gear that adds up ($)
2. Namely, Burton.
3. What it means to "Strap-in"
4. Ski (board) locks
5. Toe-side/Heel-side
6. The Magic Carpet
7. How to go on a ski lift

I'm 23!!!

I'm 23 and feel ultra-fabulous.
I've been procrasinating the past few days and really need to catch up on my blog...so here it is.

There's always been something in my head about my 23rd birthday; it was a magical number that always stuck out as one that would signify a really great year.

I'd be happy with myself- in all respects & life would be great and I'm happy to say that it is.

This birthday started off with a personalized greeting from my,"friends that love" me, and with me on my feet dancing to Britney! LOL what more of a ME thing to have. I was constantly bombarded with txts and fb greetings and made it a conscious effort to personally thank each person.

After an eventful weekend, I come home to a waggy-tailed baby, and have a full day of birthday-ness! (yummy cake and all!)

I feel like I got a boost of RedBull and feel great.
This year is mine for the taking- I feel it, I know it!
